Transformation through Worship

Transformation through worship is central to our life together at Grace.  In the Episcopal tradition, we embody the understanding that we will pray what we believe and believe what we pray.  Like all Episcopal churches, we follow the lectionary and are directed by the Book of Common Prayer.  We take seriously our tradition of story and experience in every liturgy, worshipping with poetry, beauty and music .   In all our worship, we endeavor to create and hold a holy space where the voice of God can be heard and the healing power of the Spirit can be at work in each of us and all of us.  People attend worship regularly, opening their hearts and minds to the transforming experience of God.

Grace Episcopal Church is liturgical — we follow the ancient words and patterns of worship, and we do it with a strong sense of the current presence and work of God.

Just as the words we pray in worship shape and form us, the holy space we worship in draws us into the beauty and sacredness of worship.

Worship is the word of the whole parish and worship ministries are vital.
